两位男主角的刻画相当不错。特别是教官。女主角则是典型默片式的如梦如幻。最后陆战队进行了一场“黑鹰降落”式的拯救行动。而地点比较雷人：居然是杭州！
导演乔治·W·希尔在这部作品中尝试了不同的叙事风格和表现手法，虽然效果有限但值得鼓励。
