Signal Wave is the self-documentary of Yamauchi’s artistic path and family histories slowly merging into the modern history of Japan and Korea. The story begins with her encounter with a woman diver in Busan, South Korea who had the same name as Yamauchi's grandmother who, as a Japanese settler, lived in Busan under Japanese rule for about four decades.
